npower and QPR team up for 'The Big Match'

npower, proud sponsors of The Football League and Queens Park Rangers Football Club have announced they will partner to present ‘THE BIG MATCH’ vs. Middlesbrough Football Club.
On Saturday 11th September, npower Championship pace-setters Queens Park Rangers welcome Middlesbrough in the first of this season’s games going under the guise of ‘THE BIG MATCH’. There will be 5 of these in total throughout the season so stay posted for more announcements.
The entertainment will start at Midday, when the astro turf on South Africa Road will be transformed into a Family Fun Park for the day, containing games and activities to entertain all members of the family in the lead up to ‘THE BIG MATCH’. Amongst the activity there will be stilt walkers, face painters, a samba band and the opportunity for fans to have their photograph taken with the new npower Championship trophy. In addition to this, as a special treat for all the kids... and some parents too... Wallace and Gromit will be present, having fun and hoping that none of their inventions get out of hand!
The npower ’No power hour’ Football Roadshow will also be located on the astroturf, giving kids a chance to learn some new skills and make a pledge to be more active and cut down on their energy use. There may even be a special guest appearance from QPR after the match.
In the lead up to the ‘THE BIG MATCH’, from Monday 6th September to Friday 10th September, npower and QPR will be in the Westfield Shopping centre with the npower Championship trophy giving an opportunity for people to have their photo taken alongside it. Come on down between each day to take your own photo with the trophy. Also on show will be all 3 QPR match kits including the New 2010 / 2011 Away and 3rd kits. There will also be the chance to win a QPR Fan Exclusive money can’t buy prize at the npower stand in the Westfield Centre so make sure you don’t miss out.
